Know which electricity rate you’re comparing.

A source-backed starting point for reading your commercial or industrial bill. Energy rates, fixed charges and temporary adjustments stay separate.

NEPRA decision · 11 February 2026 · PDF page 14, Annex A-1 (government-applicable column); page 19, Annex C (K-Electric). Verified 2026-10-21.

Temporary adjustments are a separate layer.

The recorded Q2 CY2026 quarterly adjustment is PKR 0.5194/kWh for September–November 2026, subject to its exclusions. It is one component of the bill, not the full tariff.

SRO dated 2026-09-07 · page 1, paragraphs 2–3

Fuel-cost adjustments, taxes, surcharges, concessions and eligibility rules still need bill-period verification. This component is not automatically added to your calculator inputs.

Enter marginal energy costs.

Use the cost you avoid by not importing one kWh in the relevant period. Dividing an entire bill by total units can mix fixed costs with energy prices and distort savings.

Don’t assume fixed charges disappear.

The decision includes billing floors linked to sanctioned load and actual MDI. Battery kW alone cannot establish a reduction in your billed demand. Demand-charge savings are excluded from the base result.

A little more clarity

Questions, answered.

Are the rates in this table current all-in prices?+

No. They are values verified against the dated NEPRA decision. Your current notified schedule, billing period, adjustment charges and tax treatment need to be checked against your bill.

Why are LESCO and K-Electric shown separately?+

The source contains a national uniform table and a separate K-Electric schedule. We keep the utility-specific source locators even when selected values match.

Can I use a flat-rate tariff?+

Yes. Enter the same avoidable energy rate for charging and peak use. The engine will disable price arbitrage when the spread does not cover losses.

Will a battery reduce my fixed charge?+

Not necessarily. Billed demand rules and the duration of a coincident peak matter. The daily simplified model does not promise demand-charge savings.
